Henry M. Harris3 (Zach.2, Isaac1) was born in Humphreys County, Tennessee in about 1818; he was age 32 when the Macoupin County, Illinois 1860 census was taken. He was age 11 years when his family moved to Fayette County, Illinois in 1829. He married Eliza (Reeves) Miller, a widow with a four year old daughter, on February 26, 1836 in Montgomery County, Illinois. Eliza was born in Tennessee in about 1815; she was age 35 in 1850. Her daughter, Sarah E. Miller, was age 18 that year. They were living in Fayette County when the 1840 census was taken, in Macoupin County at census time in 1850, and in Taylorville, Christian County, Illinois when census enumerators recorded the family in 1860. |
