Rebecca Jane Harris4 (Ancil M.3, Zach2, Isaac1) was born February 15, 1826 in Humphreys County, Tennessee, and died August 9, 1859. She was buried in Craig Cemetery, Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois. She married William O. Cole, son of John Cole and Rutha Caroline Conner, on October 24, 1823, in Fayette County, Illinois. He was born in February 1822 in Bedford County, Tennessee, and died March 20, 1905. He married a second wife, Dorothy Eleanor (Scribner) Revis, widow of Harris Revis, and daughter of Pleasant Scribner and Mary Ann Venable, on March 31, 1862 in Fayette County, Illinois. They had four children, all born in Illinois: 1. Martha Mahala Cole, born about 1863, 2. John Jackson Cole, born in July, 1867, 3. Alemeda Rosetta Cole, born in January, 1870, and 4. Charles Edward Cole born in August, 1872. |

James Melmon Cole5 (Rebecca J. Harris4, Ancil M.3, Zach2, Isaac1) was born April 22, 1846 in Montgomery County, Illinois, and died August 14, 1914. He married Rebecca Jane Cline on July 5, 1866 in Fayette County, Illinois. According to the Montgomery County, Illinois 1900 census report, she was born in Tennessee in July 1845. They were living in Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois when the 1870 and 1880 censuses were taken, and in Grisham Township, Montgomery County, Illinois when enumerated in 1900. At that time Rebecca was the mother of nine children of whom six were living. |

Dorothy Ellen Cole6 (James M. Cole5, Rebecca J. Harris4, Ancil M.3, Zach2, Isaac1) was born in November 1866, in Illinois. She married John L. Carlock, son of Isaac Carlock and Lucinda D. Scribner, on April 13, 1884. He was born in Fayette County, Illinois in about 1844; he was age 36 when the 1880 census was taken for Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois. Dorothy was his third wife. John and his first wife, Mary Jane Newcomb, were married January 25, 1872. His second wife was Della Walker. John died April 19, 1883, and was buried in Carlock Cemetery, Fayette County, Illinois. Dorothy then married William Sloat. His son, Ernest Sloat, later married William's stepdaughter, Rose E. Carlock. |

Giles M. Cole5 (Rebecca J. Harris4, Ancil M.3, Zach2, Isaac1) was born June 8, 1948 in Montgomery County, Illinois, and died November 12, 1893 in Fayette County, Illinois. He married Elizabeth Rhodes, daughter of James Ewing Rhodes and Elizabeth Revis or Reaves. She was born October 15, 1848 in Fayette Co., Illinois, and died there on November 27, 1933. They were living in Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois, when the censuses were taken in 1870, 1860 and 1900. |

William Berry Cole6 (Giles M.5, Rebecca J. Harris4, Ancil M.3, Zach2, Isaac1) was born January 2, 1873, in Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois, and died January 29, 1948. He married Mary Josephine Carlock, daughter of John L. Carlock and Mary Jane Newcome, on July 12, 1894 in Fayette County, Illinois. She was born September 28, 1875, in Fayette County, Illinois, and died July 30 1947. William and Mary were buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Fayette County, Illinois. |

Arrilla Melrosa Cole5 (Rebecca J. Harris4, Ancil M.3, Zach2, Isaac1) was born June 26, 1851, and died November 3, 1908. She married Isaac Alexander Holland Rhodes3, son of John B. Rhodes2 (Alex.1) and his wife, Jane, on October 2, 1870 in Fayette County, Illinois. He was born March 22, 1848 in Macoupin County, Illinois, and died March 21, 1924. They were living in Cahokia Township, Macoupin County, Illinois when the census was taken in 1880, and in Buckhart Township, Christian County, Illinois when the 1900 census was taken. |
