Alfred Greenberry Harris4 (Ancil M. Harris3, Zach2, Isaac1) was born May 30, 1822 in Humphreys County, Tennessee, and died March 16, 1849 in Fayette County, Illinois. He married Mary A. "Polly" Hicks, daughter of James Thomas Hicks and Catherine Harris (Wooten2, Isaac1) on October 1, 1843 in Fayette County, Illinois. She was born March 16, 1824 in Tennessee. After his death, she married James Ewing Rhodes son of Alexander Rhodes and Elizabeth Pettitte, on October 12, 1855. The six children of James E. Rhodes and Mary A. "Polly" Hicks, and their descendants, are listed under her name in Part III, Chapter 8.2 of Descendants of Mary A. Hicks. Mary died December 12, 1897 in Fayette County, Illinois, and was buried in Little Hickory Cemetery there. |

James F. Harris5 (Alfred G.4, Ancil M.3, Zach2, Isaac1) and (Mary A. Hicks4, Catherine Harris3, Wooten2, Isaac1) was born March 22, 1845 in Fayette County, Illinois. He was married three times. He married Nancy C. Donaldson, daughter of William C. Donaldson and Elvina Hicks, on April 5, 1866 in Fayette County, Illinois. She was born April 12, 1847 also in Fayette County, and died there on October 18, 1872. He married his second wife, Frances Evaline Rhodes, daughter of McComas Rhodes2 (Alex1.) and Sarah Jane Cole, on March 5, 1873 in Fayette County. She died March 7, 1882 at age 31 years 6 months and 2 days. Her birthdate was computed from her age at death to be about September 5, 1850. His third wife, Ruth E. Rhodes, was a sister of his second wife . James and Ruth were married on March 15, 1885 in Fayette County, Illinois. She was born August 27, 1864 in Ramsey, Fayette County, Illinois, and died January 3, 1938. James died December 20, 1894, and was buried in Little Hickory Cemetery, Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois where all three of his wives also were buried. |

Mahala Bell Harris6 (Jas. F.5, Alfred G.4, Ancil M.3, Zach2, Isaac1) was born March 5, 1867 in Bingham, Fayette County, Illinois, and died April 24, 1949 in Fillmore, Montgomery County, Illinois. She married John W. T. Halford, son of William Hammond Halford and Catherine Frances Carlock, on February 9, 1885 in Fayette County, Illinois. He was born March 30, 1863 in Edinburg, Christian County, Illinois, and died March 11, 1918 in Denver, Arapahoe County, Colorado. He was buried in Crown Hill Cemetery there. They had nine children; the first four died young and were buried in Little Hickory Cemetery, Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois. She remarried in 1916 to Chester Alton Greenlaw who was born November 8, 1871 in Princeton, Washington County, Maine, and died on November 5, 1959 at age 81 years 11 months and 27 days. He was buried in Glendale Cemetery, Montgomery County, Illinois. No children were born to this union. |

Charles Frederick Harris6 (Jas. F.5, Alfred G.4, Ancil M.3, Zach2, Isaac1) was born April 12, 1874 in Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois, and died December 28, 1953 in Bingham, Fayette County, Illinois. He married Effie Mary Harrison, daughter of James Harrison and Miss Hollis, on February 15, 1894 in Fayette County, Illinois. She was born in October 1875 and died of consumption on August 28, 1903 at age 28 years, 10 months, and 20 days. Charles married a second wife, Rilly J. Neatherly, daughter of Hardin Neatherly and Elizabeth Elan, on May 1, 1905. She was born June 4, 1880 and died May 24, 1954. Charles and both his wives were buried in Little Hickory Cemetery, Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois. When the 1900 census was taken, the family was living in Sharon Township, Fayette County, Illinois, and they were living in the same county but in Hurricane Township at census time in 1910. |

He died December 15, 1945, and was buried in Little Hickory Cemetery, Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois. He married Roxie A. Bulka, daughter of Mike Bulka and Liza Carter. She was born September 23, 1878, and died July 23, 1953 in Fayette County, Illinois. She was buried in Glendale Cemetery, near Fillmore, Montgomery County, Illinois. They were living in Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois, when the 1910 census was taken. |

William Berry Harris5 (Alfred G.4, Ancil M.3, Zach2, Isaac1) was born May 29, 1848 in Fayette County, Illinois, and died August 19, 1901. His name was written William G. Harris in the 1850 census record, so he was undoubtedly named William Greenberry Harris, but used "Berry" as his middle name. He was married twice. He married his first wife, Nancy Jane Freeman, daughter of Gideon Allen Freeman and Rebecca Donaldson, on September 20, 1865 in Montgomery County, Illinois. She was born October 27, 1844 in Bond County, Illinois, and died June 17, 1881. William married his second wife, Lenora J. Skeen on August 29, 1883 in Fayette County, Illinois. She was born April 19, 1861 in Bond County, Illinois. He died August 19, 1901; Lenora died January 18, 1905; both events took place in Fayette County and he and both his wives were buried in Little Hickory Cemetery, Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois. |

William Allen Harris5 (Wm. B.5, Alfred G.4, Ancil M.3, Zach2, Isaac1) was born January 28, 1868, in Fayette County, Illinois, and died February 7, 1930. He was married three times. He married his first wife, Ada Alexander, daughter of Jacob Alexander and Mary Ann Hicks, on June 16, 1888 in Fayette County, Illinois. Her birth, death and burial also took place in Fayette County. She was born in February 1868, died in 1903, and was buried in Little Hickory Cemetery, in Hurricane Township. William Allen married his second wife, Rose Beck, in 1906. She was born in 1861, died in 1915, and was also buried in Little Hickory Cemetery. His third wife was Louisa "Lulu" (Mehew) Lude, widow of (Reverend) Max E. Lude. Louisa and Max were buried in Pope Cemetery, Fayette County, Illinois. The dates on their tombstones were 1879-1934 for Louisa, and 1872-1910 for Max. |
