Reuben J. Harris, Jr.3 (Reuben Harris2, Isaac1) was born June 14, 1804 Greenville County, South Carolina, and died August 15, 1868 in Blandinsville, McDonough County, Illinois. He came to Illinois in 1827 and located on a farm near Blandinsville. He married Alice "Allie" Wolfe who was born October 8, 1803 in Jackson County, Tennessee, and died February 8, 1866 in Blandinsville, McDonough County, Illinois. They were buried in Liberty Cemetery there. |

Isaac Harris4 (Reuben J3., Reuben2, Isaac1) was born February 12, 1822 in White County, Tennessee, and came to Illinois in 1827. He married Marthena Atwater, daughter of Joseph Atwater and Rachel Duncan, on November 25, 1840, in McDonough County, Illinois. They were living in Hancock County, Illinois in 1850 and 1860. She was born May 5, 1824 in Tennessee, and died February 5, 1866 in Blandinsville, McDonough County, Illinois at age 42 years, 9 months, and 1 day. He married Mrs. Elizabeth Clayton on April 12, 1867 in McDonough County, Illinois. Their marriage was recorded a second time on November 18, 1869 at the same place. His obituary appeared in the Hancock County newspaper, The La Harper, on April 20, 1900:

Zachariah William Harris4 (Reuben J3., Reuben2, Isaac1) was born August 15, 1826 in Jackson County, Tennessee. He married Mary Ann Nanney, daughter of William Nanney and Ruth Harris3 (Benjamin2, Isaac1), on March 7, 1847 in McDonough County, Illinois. Sue Miklas of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a descendant on this line, points out that Mary Ann's name was recorded as Ruth Nanny on the marriage record, but the same date was recorded in their family bible for her ancestor Mary Ann Nanny and Zachariah Harris. Sue Miklas was very helpful in establishing this line. Mary Ann Nanney was born May 28, 1833 in Jefferson County, Illinois, and died in March 1905 in Nodaway County, Missouri. Obituary of Zachariah W. Harris states, "He died last Saturday (December 19, 1885) at his home three miles north of Quitman, (Nodaway County, Illinois) after an illness of several weeks . . . . The deceased leaves an aged companion and several children to mourn his death." The obituary of his wife appeared in the Burlington Junction Post on March 4, 1905 (Note: Burlington Junction is in Nodaway County, Missouri): "Mrs. Mary Harris, after a tedious illness lasting four years, passed away last Tuesday, the immediate cause of her death being meningitis. She has resided at the place where she died for the past 37 years and was one of the oldest settlers of Nodaway County. Mary Ann Nanney was born 26 May 1833 in Jefferson County, Illinois. She married Zachariah Harris in McDonough County, of the same state, in 1847, where they lived until 1866 when they moved to this county and since the spring of 1866 she has lived in the residence where she died. Her husband died in 1885. Four children blessed this union: Levi Harris, who died in 1877; Charles W. Harris, of Vining, Okla.; Mrs. John G. Limpp, Mound City, Missouri, and William Harris of this place." |

Charles Warren Harris5 (Zach. Wm. Harris4, Reuben J3., Reuben2, Isaac1) was born September 7, 1851 McDonough Co, IL, and died on December 9, 1933. He married Mary Elizabeth Wallace, daughter of Joseph Miller Wallace and Amanda Caroline Lamar, on December 25, 1870 at Burnet's Mill, Nodaway County, Missouri. She was born March 31, 1854 in Knox County, Tennessee, and died July 7, 1928. They both died in Blackwell, Oklahoma, and were buried in the IOOF Cemetery, in Blackwell, Kay County, Oklahoma. |

Catherine Harris4 (Reuben J3., Reuben2, Isaac1) was born in McDonough County, Illinois in about 1829; she was 51 years of age in 1880 according to the Nodaway County, Illinois census that year. She married James A. Nance on April 24, 1849 in McDonough County, Illinois. His age was reported in the Nodaway County 1870 Census as 42, and in 1880 age 54. He was born in Illinois. |

Wayman L. Harris4 (Reuben J3., Reuben2, Isaac1) was born in McDonough County, Illinois in about 1831; he was age 29 when the McDonough County, Illinois 1860 Census was taken. He married Nancy Weatherford on October 28, 1849 in McDonough County, Illinois. She was born in South Carolina in about 1825; she was age 35 at census time in 1860. |

Anderson or Andrew Harris4 (Reuben J3., Reuben2, Isaac1) was born in McDonough County, Illinois in about 1834; he was age 16 when the 1850 census of McDonough County, Illinois was taken. He married Mary Weatherford on March 16, 1850 in McDonough County, Illinois. Mary was born in South Carolina and was 30 years of age when the 1860 census of McDonough County, Illinois was taken. |

Alice "Allie" Harris4 (Reuben J3., Reuben2, Isaac1) was born in McDonough County, Illinois, in 1844; she was age 6 in 1850, and died on June 19, 1894 in Blandinsville, McDonough County, Illinois. She married William Wilcher Ward Hardisty on March 23, 1862 in McDonough County, Illinois. He was born on June 11, 1842 and died on March 7, 1914. Both events took place in Blandinsville, Illinois. They were buried in Liberty Cemetery, Blandinsville, McDonough County, Illinois. |

Reuben Ransom Harris4 (Reuben J3., Reuben2, Isaac1) was born August 23, 1846 in McDonough County, Illinois. He married Mary Jane Severns, daughter of James Severns and Mary C. Swares, on January 12, 1865 in McDonough County, Illinois. He purchased the home place where his father settled when they came from Tennessee to McDonough County, Illinois, and lived there until he died. A biographical sketch of Reuben R. Harris in History of McDonough County, Illinois mentions that he owned a "highly desirable farm containing 130 acres located in Sec 31, Blandinsville Twp." The deed records of McDonough County, Illinois indicate that Reuben Harris, father of Reuben J. Harris purchased the NE 1/4 of Section 31 7N 4W in Blandinsville, on February 25, 1830 when he first came to McDonough County, Illinois. Mary Jane Severns was born on August 12, 1847 in Antoria, Fulton County, Illinois. Reuben died December 27, 1915 and Jane died Octobert 29, 1922; both events took place in Blandinsville, McDonough County, Illinois. They were buried in Glade City Cemetery, Blandinsville, McDonough County, Illinois. |
