Martha Jane Hicks4 (Cath. Harris3, Wooten2, Isaac1) was born December 29, 1826, in Hickman County, Tennessee. She married Elliott Wilburn Rhodes, son of Alexander Rhodes and Elizabeth Pettitte, on October 5, 1843, in Fayette County, Illinois. He was born March 22, 1822, in Tennessee, and died April 14, 1893. She died on November 11, 1890. They were buried in Little Hickory Cemetery, Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois. The source for his name is the Jonathan F. Davis book, in which the name was spelled "Elette" Wilburn Rhodes. |

She was born March 24, 1850, in Montgomery County, Illinois, and died January 23, 1928. They were buried in Little Hickory Cemetery, Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois. |

B3., Wooten2, Isaac1) on March 8, 1899 in Fayette County, Illinois. She was born February 15, 1877 in Fayette County, Illinois, and died July 7, 1909. She was buried in Ramsey Cemetery, Fayette County, Illinois. |

COLE and Alice Drucilla Casey, on September 2, 1869. He was born in Fayette County, Illinois in about 1852; he was age 8 when the 1860 census was taken. They were living in Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois when the censuses were taken in 1860, 1870, and 1880. |

He and his first wife, Mary Elizabeth Lovegrove, daughter of Ulysses and Nancy Lovegrove, were married on November 5, 1879 in Fayette County. She was born November 6, 1855 in Fayette County, Illinois. His second wife, Nancy Drucilla Hicks, was born September 5, 1866 in Illinois, and died in 1906. She was the daughter of Jacob Hicks and Lucinda Emily Harris4 (Thos. W.3, Zach.2, Isaac1). She was previously married to John McCaslin. John William Rhodes5 (Martha J. Hicks4, Cath. Harris3, Wooten2, Isaac1) was born January 11, 1857 in Fayette County, Illinois, and died there June 6, 1936. He married Lucinda Elender Rhodes, daughter of Robert H. Rhodes and Sarah Jane Carlock, on November 15, 1876 in Fayette County, Illinois. Robert H. Rhodes was the son of McComas Rhodes4 (Susannah Harris3, Zach.2, Isaac1) and Sarah Jane Williams. McComas Rhodes's father was Anderson Rhodes, son of Alexander Rhodes and Elizabeth Pettitte. Lucinda was born August 30, 1861 in Illinois, and died December 30, 1926. They were buried in Little Hickory Cemetery, Fayette County, Illinois. After her death he married Telithew Jane Culbertson, daughter of John Thomas Culbertson and Mary Pope. This was her third marriage. Her first husband was Campbell C. Harris, and her second husband was James Asberry Rhodes3, son of McComas Rhodes2 (Alex1.) and Sarah Jane Cole, daughter of John Cole and Rutha Caroline Conner. She was born in 1830 and died October 17 1900. |

He married Anna Boyd, daughter of Charles Albert Riley Boyd and Sarah Ann Spears, on July 5, 1899 in Montgomery County, Illinois. She was born in March, 1881 in Montgomery County, Illinois. They were living in Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois when the 1910 census was taken. Charles later married Hester O. Earl, who was born in 1893, and died in 1956. He and his wives were buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Fayette County, Illinois. He had no children by his second wife. |

He married Lucy Irene Boyd, daughter of Charles Albert Riley Boyd and Sarah Ann Spears, on January 19, 1902. She was born February 19, 1882 in Illinois, and died April 19, 1911 in Fayette County, Illinois. Elmer Smith Rhodes and Estella Prater, daughter of William Dudley Prater, Jr., and Ruth Jane Williams, were married April 25, 1912. They later divorced. His third wife was Bertha A. Carlock, daughter of James Robert Carlock5 (Thersy Rhodes4, Lucinda Harris3, Zach.2, Isaac1) and Frances E. Wolf. She was born September 10, 1888 in Buckhart Township, Christian County, Illinois. |

He married Ivy Boyd, daughter of Charles Albert Riley Boyd and Sarah Ann Spears, on August 17, 1902 in Fayette County, Illinois. She was born August 18, 1887, died June 3, 1905, and was buried in Little Hickory Cemetery, Fayette County, Illinois. He and his second wife, Ina P. RHODES, were married in 1907. She was born in January 1898 in Fayette County, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas Alexander Rhodes5 (Mary A. Hicks4, Cath. Harris3, Wooten2, Isaac1) and Mary Jane Merriman. She died in 1957, and was buried beside her husband in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Fayette County, Illinois. They lived in Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois at census time in 1910. |
