Catherine Harris² (Wooten², Isaac¹) was born November 6, 1800, in Rutherford County, North Carolina, and died October 5, 1856 in Fayette County, Illinois. She married James Thomas Hicks in Tennessee, where their first five children were born. He died May 11, 1882, at age 81 years 2 months 16 days at Ramsey, Fayette County, Illinois, and was therefore born about February 25, 1801. His birthplace was North Carolina; then later he lived in Maury County, Tennessee. They were buried in Little Hickory Cemetery, Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois. After Catherine's death, he married Cynthia (Landers) Carlock, the widow of Abraham Carlock and the daughter of Jacob Landers and Sarah Johnson. Cynthia and Abraham were married March 29, 1857, in Fayette County, Illinois. They had no children.
