Benjamin A. Harris⁴ (Wm. B³., Wooten², Isaac¹) was born in about 1834 in Fayette County, Illinois; he was age 16 in 1850. He married Louisa "Eliza" Van Watkins, the daughter of Absalom Cradock Watkins and Mary Little on February 21, 1856 in Montgomery County, Illinois. Her birth and death dates on her tombstone in Fillmore Cemetery were "1840-1925;" however, she was age 12 when the Fayette County 1850 Census was taken. Benjamin died in 1888 and was buried in Harris Cemetery, Fayette County, Illinois. Louisa later married Emasiah M. Card on November 11, 1897 in Fayette County, Illinois. Louisa was buried in Fillmore Cemetery, Montgomery County, Illinois.

Joel Thomas Harris⁵ (Benj. A⁴., Wm. B³., Wooten², Isaac¹) was born April 19, 1870 in Bingham, Fayette County, Illinois, and died May 30, 1950. He married Melissa Jane Sears, daughter of Joseph L. Sears and Harriet G. Craig. She was born November 5, 1876 in Fayette County, Illinois, and died April 17, 1962 in Fayette County, Illinois. They were buried in Liberty Cemetery, Fayette County, Illinois. They were living in Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois when the 1900 census was taken.
