George Washington Harris4, (Harbert3, Wm.2, Isaac1) was born December 31, 1832 at Montford's Cove, Rutherford (now McDowell) County, North Carolina, and died December 29, 1879. He was married twice. His first wife was Almina Sophronia Ledbetter, daughter of Jonathan Ledbetter and Nancy Wells. He married his second wife, Marcilla Angelina Ledbetter, sister of his first wife, November 7, 1859. Marcilla was born November 27, 1840 at Montford's Cove, and died February 21, 1911. They were buried in Montford's Cove Cemetery, Rutherford County, North Carolina. [The record I received indicates that Bulo Washington Harris was born at Montford's Cove, but there is no indication of where the other children were born.] Marcilla married a second time to M. W. B. McIntire June 4, 1896, and later married a third husband, Isaac J. Marlowe. |

Elbridge Crayton Harris5 (George W.4, Harbert3, Wm.2, Isaac1) was born June 28, 1859. He married Martha Lavinia Wilkerson, daughter of Andrew Wilkerson and Sophia Marlowe on December 20, 1881, at Sugar Hill, Rutherford County, North Carolina. She was of Sugar Hill, and he was of Otter Creek, McDowell County, North Carolina at the time of their marriage. Martha was born October 23, 1860 and died October 16, 1940. He died November 3, 1927. They were buried at the Montford's Cove Baptist Church Cemetery, Montford's Cove, Rutherford County, North Carolina. According to Margie Cox, "They first lived in a house between the old Rufus Williams home (where Hicks Hemphille lived in 1970)and the Adam Flack house. Their son Vick was born there. Later they lived at the White House community called Otter Creek, and operated a store, post office and telephone exchange there. They later moved to a log house on the Clover Villa Farm where they lived until the big house was built. Ellbridge graduated from Rutherford College at Connelly Springs, Burke County, North Carolina with a BS Degree in Civil Engineering in the spring of 1881. In 1919, at age 60 years, he returned to the same college for his Masters Degree in Civil Engineering. He taught in public schools and was a farmer." |

Lillian married Grover Cleveland Hardin, on June 11, 1921. He was born December 3, 1884, and died January 11, 1959. |

He married Carrie Lee Bird, daughter of Richard Ivey Bird and Mary Koon, on December 16, 1885 at State Line P. O. South Carolina. She was born October 14, 1868, and died February 1, 1948. They were buried in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, South Carolina, just off the I-85 highway between Cowpens and Gaffney, South Carolina. |

Onnie was born November 5, 1891, and died September 6, 1941. His second wife was Etha Mae Jones; they had no children. |

She was buried at Spring Hill Memorial Gardens, Chessne, Spartenburg County, South Carolina. Alma married William Logan Ledford, son of Alexander Ledford, Sr., and Sarah Bradley, on June 7, 1916. He was born July 4, 1892, and died January 19, 1930. He was buried in Clifton Cemetery, Clifton, Spartenburg County, South Carolina. |

Atley McKinley Harris6 (Wm. M.5, Geo. W.4, Harbert3, Wm.2, Isaac1) was born April 2, 1893, and died November 5, 1965 near Macon, Bibb County, Georgia. He married Callie Matilda Patricia Ard, daughter of Joseph A. Ard and Clara Sariah Walls, on October 26, 1913 in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia. She was born February 5, 1897 in Twiggs or Bibb County, Georgia, and died March 27, 1964 in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia. Atley and his wife were buried there in the Harris Cemetery on Hitchcock Road at Hitchcock Dairy. Callie's father, Joseph A. Ard, was born December 18, 1858, and died January 24 1916. Her mother, Clara Sariah Walls, was born in 1875, and died September 19, 1935. |

He was born November 7, 1861 in Rutherford County, North Carolina, and died August 15. 1897. They were buried in Nesbitts Chapel Cemetery, Fairview, Buncombe County, North Carolina. |
